We as a human have come across many love stories, right from Romeo- Juliet to Laila - Majnu and many great and promising lovers/ couples , same we have experienced and loved many movie couples and their love stories like the Raj - Simran, Veer- Zara just like from the west we have Jack - Rose who have gone through many struggles, fight for their love went extreme and too far to win their love but never experienced such insane, horrific and dangerous love story.
Aamis this 2019 Assamese film is poetry of attraction, obsession, and very dark intense relation between a young man and a married woman and their obsession and desire for “meat”. Initially i felt it's just a regular film shows how the kid is slowly getting attracted towards the women and then both fell in love and it ends happily but NO i was wrong.... As the film grows the plot suddenly take a very dark turn and makes you distrubed and question your brain exactly what are their desires.
Lima Das the main lead will surely give you nightmares , along with a sweet attractive blink of her eye's . and her “that beautiful yet strange haunting simile”.
and (Sumon) Arghadeep Baruah is a promising actor the innocence between both these two couples would surely make your day , especially their love for meat would make you crave and feel shocked .
Director Bhaskar Hazarika presents something unbelievable and something that the indian audience have might never experienced such story till now. Beautiful writing , and most important executing such story needs to be appreciated.
