Cinematic Brilliance: Bhavana Meghalim

Finally watched Aamis today.
The movie started with the 'Monor Batoribur" by Jayanta Hazarika. He had an enchanting voice and even though I had never heard this song before, I did recognize his melodious voice. And just like his voice, the movie, #Aamis was enchanted and kept me hooked till the end.
The portrayal of intimacy, desires, hunger, loopholes of monogamy and breaking the binary of "normal" and "abnormal" have never been carved on screen this beautifully. It'll keep the audience wondering and wanting to experience, with inhibitions, the grey beyond societal normalcy.
Love and lust, have been transcended from the need of physical and sexual proximity to fulfilment of hunger, whichever kind; the taste that suits you.
The closing scene, as Nirmali's fingers slightly caresses Sumon's hand and both entwined their hands into each other's, I am reminded of the song তোমাৰ মৰমে মোৰ by Jayanta Hazarika.
We need more of these Cinematic Brilliance by Bhaskar HaZarika
I recommend Aamis to each one of you. Please watch.
